Schools were ordered closed abruptly at the beginning of June and remained closed until the beginning of September.
In most of the communities, no one was able to access the books while schools were closed, but we were happy to find that in a few communities arrangements had been made and children continued reading.
With schools open again, the book boxes, in 75 schools, will provide 30,000 children with access to 23,000 books
The library books are more important than ever as children attend school on alternate days to allow for a degree of social distancing.
